Certified Organic Cotton Bedding By Organature Review
You spend a lot of your life sleeping in your bed, so breathing in and absorbing through your skin, which is your largest body organ, various dangerous chemicals off-gases and residues is really not something we should want to be doing.
Instead choosing to use only pure 100% organic cotton bedding, that is super soft and just as warm as synthetic quilts, will have you all sleeping like a ‘healthy’ baby!
I just fell in love with our Organature bedding products. I found this ethical, family owned company, years before starting LivingSafe and now my kids and I sleep only with their organic cotton bed sheets, pillows and quilts. I have to say once you have converted over to the fresh and breathable feel of certified organic cotton you will never go back! It is also such peace of mind knowing your family is sleeping in a healthier, toxic free bed.
Initially I was skeptical that a quilt made entirely out of organic cotton could keep us and our children warm enough in winter, (cotton breathes so I knew it would be perfect for summer) but we were honestly amazed at how such a relatively thin quilt could provide such warm and be so soft and cosy.
Conventional bedding products usually contain synthetic materials, plastics and chemically treated cotton and wool. Then they are generally treated with fire retardant chemicals such as the commonly used, arsenic, antimony and phosphorus, which have been linked to SIDS in infants. To top it off, sheets, quilts and blankets are created using synthetic dyes, bleaches and anti-bacterial chemicals. Not to mention the residues of pesticides and fungicides from conventional, non-organic crops.
This report of chemical analysis of conventional bedding by Professor Jim Sprott, should be enough to give you a wake up call.
Also once our kids were past the SIDS age and we were no longer strictly following the protocol for mattress wrapping against SIDS, we purchased the Organature organic single bed mattresses and then replaced the kids organic cotton blankets with organic cotton quilts and organic cotton pillows including the Organature organic cotton mattress and pillow protectors. These protectors are not plastic backed but are of a thicker organic cotton weave, so Peter from Organature advised me to use a small sheet of safer polyethylene plastic over the area where bed-wetting accidents may happen and this worked a treat.
So please check out the fabulous and luxurious all natural, 100% organic cotton range at Organature.
