Coconut, Cinnamon, Hemp Seed Chocolate Almond Clusters
This vegan, organic treat is so easy to make. My Coconut, Cinnamon, Hemp Seed Chocolate Almond Clusters are a healthier way to enjoy chocolate coated almonds, as the ratio of healthy ingredients to dark chocolate is significant. Less chocolate, less sugar!
Adding Hemp Seeds into your diet, especially a vegan diet, is a great addition to your health. Read why in my article Hemp Seed & Oil Benefits
Ingredients
All organic if possible
1.5 cup of raw almonds
100 grams of at least 85% fair-trade, dark chocolate
2 teaspoons of cinnamon powder
1/4 cup of hemp seeds
1/4 cup of desiccated coconut
Method
Temper the chocolate by breaking up the pieces and placing them in a small stainless steel or glass bowl placed on top of another small bowl of just boiled hot water. Continue stirring until all chocolate melted.
In a separate bowl combine hemp seeds, coconut and cinnamon.
Toss the almonds through the melted chocolate, stirring with a teaspoon to ensure all the almonds are evenly coated with chocolate.
Next one by one using a teaspoon, fork, or chocolate dipping utensil, transfer them across to the bowl of hemp, coconut and cinnamon and gently toss the choc coated almond in the mixture.
Lay each coated almond out on a tray, either lined with a silicone baking mat, or baking paper and place in the fridge to set.
Store in a glass jar in the fridge for a few days, if they last that long :)!
