To make your own icy poles you do need a few basic pieces such as either a cold press juice extractor, or hand citrus press, stick or jar blender, plus of course the all important icy pole molds that are from safe, inert plastic e.g Polypropylene (PP No#5 plastic) IKEA have some. Grab a selection of organic fruits and vegetables your family like to eat. When organic fresh fruits are not in season you can use certified organic frozen fruits. You can buy pre-packaged ones, but check where they are being imported from or, you can stock up on fresh fruit when it is in season and wash and freeze for a few months to use when you need.
I When it comes to vegetables it is best to stick with sweeter ones e.g beetroot and carrots, but if you have a very good blender that will really pulverize vegetables to a smooth consistency, you can add in vegetables such as fresh spinach and kale to make a super healthy icy pole.LivingSafe’s Organic Beetroot, Kiwi and Orange Icy-Poles- A Healthy 100% Natural Red Icy Pole
