Simple, easy, healthy, vegan, gluten-free and lactose free, choc-banana popsicle treats for kids and adults alike. These frozen banana’s covered in melted organic, fair-trade dark chocolate are creamy, rich and delicious!
Ingredients
2 ripe large organic bananas
1 100g block of organic, fair-trade, dark chocolate
Some cake-pop sticks or icy-pole sticks
A tray and a sheet of eco-friendly, unbleached baking paper
Method
Line tray with baking paper.
In a stainless steel or glass bowl break up your chocolate and sit it over a bowl of just boiled water. Slowly let it melt while stirring occasionally.
In the meantime chop two banana’s up into 1.5 to 2inch pieces and insert of stick into the center of each one.
Then using a wire chocolate dipper if you have one, or alternatively a tablespoon, dip the banana into the melted chocolate and make sure it is entirely covered by spooning the chocolate over the banana with a teaspoon.
Do this with each piece of banana and stand them upright on your baking paper lined tray and simple pop them into the freezer.
More delicious, healthy options:
Try rolling the chocolate coated banana’s in coconut or almond, flakes, or try rolling in some raw cacao nibs before freezing.
