Synergie Skin MineralWhip Foundation
As a freelance cruelty free hair & makeup artist I have trialed many different foundations and I am not easily won over. As a professional I demand high-end professional results.
I really loved the texture and coverage that the Synergie Skin MineralWhip Foundation offered.
It has a light-weight creamy, but not oily texture, that covers the skin beautifully, yet doesn’t look heavy and caked on. This foundation sets to a demi-matte finish and you can easily build up the coverage for those who need to hide skin pigmentation and rosacea.
Synergie Skin MineralWhip Foundation comes in 4 different shades and are well colour toned. They have more of a yellow base, as opposed to a pink base, which in my professional opinion is much better suited to 90% of skin tones.
This mineral based, safe and vegan friendly foundation, is made using a blend of ingredients that are all rated as safe by EWG ( The Environmental Working Group) – See Synergie Skin EWG rating.
The zinc oxide in the foundation offers good sun protection and the ingredients nourish and protect the skin.
I also had a very interesting chat to Terri Vinson the creator and hands-on formulator of Synergie Skin about the safety of her cosmetics. Terri is a well respected and highly knowledgeable biological scientist and cosmetic chemist. I asked Terri about the fact that not all her products are made using natural raw ingredients and why does she use some laboratory manufactured ingredients?
Terri’s philosophy is sound. She states just because something is synthetically made does not necessarily mean it should be discounted as not safe, as sometimes laboratory man-made ingredients are safer, purer and cleaner options than ingredients that are 100% natural and can therefore be contaminated with natural harmful materials; e.g. arsenic, heavy metals and asbestos .
Terri has created products, using what she has termed the process of clean science®
Terri formulates all her skin care and cosmetic range with a blend of pure, natural, safe ingredients and scientifically, man-made, safe ingredients. Her skincare products have been evaluated by EWG all have a rating of 2 or lower, with 7-10 being considered hazardous and harmful.
All Synergie Skin products are approved by Cruelty Free International and their Leaping Bunny Programme . They are formulated and made here in Melbourne Australia in the Synergie Skin Laboratory.
