Vegan Sushi Roll Recipe Using Radiation Free Nori Flakes
In this recipe (which is in video format below), I will show you how easy it is to make my homemade, Vegan Sushi Roll Recipe, using radiation free Nori Flakes from Power Super Foods.
Power Super Foods are definitely on the same wavelength as I am. To us, it simply doesn’t make any sense to consume foods harvested from a region of ocean that is being continuously contaminated with radioactive waste. Power Super Foods go to the effort to source clean, safe, seaweed products, from the pristine waters of the Canadian Maritimes, in the Atlantic Ocean.
There is one small concession you’ll have to make when swapping over to using Power Super Foods seaweed products, and that is you will have to get used to working with flakes rather than with sheets of seaweed.
However, it is easier than you think. Yes it is a little messier to eat this is true, but when you weigh up the peace of mind you get from knowing you and your family are eating clean, untainted seaweed, then messy fingertips are definitely worth it!
*In the recipe on the left I used white sugar and apple cider vinegar, so the rice is white still. In my video I use coconut sugar and apple cider vinegar and so the rice takes on a golden brown tone.

About the Fukushima Radiation Leakage
The facts are this; since the March 2011 earthquake in Japan, there had been severe and irreparable damage to some of the reactors at the Daiichi Nuclear Plant in Fukushima Japan. Radioactive waste has been flowing continuously out into the Pacific Ocean and it is way too dangerous to try and attempt to get near the reactor that is leaking to attempt to fix it. Japanese and Pacific Ocean sourced products are making there ways onto restaurant tables and supermarket shelves, with little. or in the case of Australia. no monitoring for radiation, and this includes certified organic foods.
Below are some articles I have written on the issue of contamination from not only Fukushima but Chernobyl too. All I can say is that those of living here in Australia are fortunate to have the option to choose to eat clean foods.

- Testing For Radiation In Foods Imported From Japan Ceased In Australia as of 23.1.2014
